My place is always very cool. Yes i have noticed my fan running in rest mode. Over the last few days i noticed i could hear the fans running on my ps4 pro when it s in rest mode. I guess sony weren t pulling the wool over our eyes.

Since this seems not to occur on all devices it might be a weird combination of multiple factors. Not having to exit out of games and being able to resume quickly is one of the ps4 s best features imo.
